In this together: Finding resilience while furloughed

(In-person event)

An estimated 750,000 federal employees are currently furloughed as part of the partial government shutdown we are experiencing. It is not just public services that are affected during a government, real people’s careers, livelihoods and work are impacted.

Join FedSupport and Former Gov in their coworking space at Eaton House in Washington, D.C. for an in-person gathering aimed at supporting federal employees who are furloughed or those who recently ended their work with the federal government. We will discuss coping and resilience during this transitional time, getting unstuck, the importance of recharging, your support system and slowing down to decide what you really want.

Speakers:

  • Alex Snider, former government strategist, writer, facilitator, advocate for More Human Workplaces
  • Mika Cross, CEO, Strategy@Work
  • Virginia Hill, executive coach and facilitator, Public Service Leadership Institute, Partnership for Public Service

When: Tuesday, November 4, from 1 to 2 p.m. EST

Where: Eaton House, 1203 K Street Northwest, Washington, D.C. 20005
