Uniting Alumni to Strengthen Public Service
The Federal Alumni Network connects the growing number of alumni organizations that support former federal workers who share a commitment to public service excellence and a government that works for everyone. To these former employees: Your years of federal service matter—both to the people you served and to the future of effective government.
Existing alumni groups as well as individuals in search of an alumni community can find opportunities to connect here.

FOR FORMER FEDERAL EMPLOYEES
Learn why you should join your agency’s alumni association
Your transition from federal service opens a new chapter, but your connection to public service continues. Many agencies have established alumni associations that enable ongoing connection to your agency’s mission and to your former colleagues. These groups offer an ideal first step for staying engaged with the work that defined your career.
Stay connected to your mission legacy
Continue to support the agency work you helped drive and maintain relationships with colleagues who understand your shared experiences.
Support your former team
Your former colleagues are navigating significant workplace changes and uncertainties. As an alumni member, you can offer mentorship, share resources and provide professional guidance that helps current staff succeed in roles you once held.
Continue to learn and contribute
Agency alumni groups provide unique opportunities to stay current on developments in your former field, learn about new approaches to familiar challenges and contribute expertise to ongoing initiatives that benefit from your experience.
Amplify your agency’s impact
Help tell your agency’s story to the public and policymakers. Your real-world examples of how federal programs work, who they serve and why they matter can shape public perceptions of government and help drive support for continued investment in effective government.
